Honouring a Legacy: The “Albert Paul Laluna Chef Forever” Scholarship

At Laluna, we believe that some people leave a mark that goes far beyond their time with us. Chef Albert Paul was one of those people.

To honour his memory and the incredible journey he lived, we are proud to introduce the “Albert Paul Laluna Chef Forever” Scholarship — a small but meaningful way to give back and support the future of hospitality in Grenada.

Starting in August 2026, the scholarship will sponsor one Grenadian student through a two-year culinary program, contributing EC $5,000 per year, for a total of EC $10,000. The student will be selected by the institution’s internal committee, and during their studies, they will also have the opportunity to join us at Laluna for a six-week internship, gaining hands-on experience in a working kitchen.

Albert’s story is one that continues to inspire us every day. He joined Laluna 17 years ago as a dishwasher and, through passion, dedication, and heart, became our Head Chef. He believed deeply in learning, growing, and sharing knowledge with others — something we hope to carry forward through this scholarship.

This initiative is not only a tribute to Albert, but also a step toward nurturing young talent and supporting the next generation of chefs in Grenada.

We are proud to be part of something that invests in education, opportunity, and the future of our island.

Albert may no longer be with us, but his spirit lives on — in our kitchen, in our team, and now, in every student this scholarship will support.
