Laluna & Design Hotels Continued Partnering Opportunities

As a member of the Design Hotels collection, Laluna recently had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the international travel market at the ITB Tradeshow in Berlin. Thanks to our close relationship with Design Hotels and Bernardo’s long-time friendship with Design Hotels’ founder, Claus Sendlinger, we were able to take part in the show from their booth and are quite excited to be a part of the future opportunities offered by the group.

ITB Berlin is the leading travel trade show and is the foremost business platform for global touristic offers. It pulls attendees from 5 continents, 187 countries, and 1000 qualified top buyers. This year, there were > 10,000 exhibitors, > 26,000 convention visitors, > 50,000 private visitors, > 120,000 trade visitors, and was 160,000 square meters. We were excited to take part in the convention and introduce Laluna to a new group of travelers.

Getting the chance to be showcased as a Design Hotels property at ITB isn’t the only fantastic partnering opportunity that Laluna has had recently as a member of this unique group. In November 2015, Design Hotels joined forces with Starwood Preferred Guest, which enables its member hotels, including Laluna, to have both a greater and more selective reach while at the same time offering its community the benefits of the industry’s leading loyalty program. Design Hotels has long been in the business of creating lasting memories, and this expanded partnership with the industry’s most powerful loyalty program has made making these memories more rewarding. More than 30 Design Hotels are now bookable through SPG.com, the SPG mobile app, and a global network of Customer Contact Centers. Each month, additional Design Hotels properties will be joining SPG, granting members access to the following benefits at all participating Design Hotels properties:

• 2 Starpoints per eligible US dollar spent (3 for Gold Preferred and Platinum Preferred Members)
• Night and stay credit toward elite status
• On-property benefits of internet access and bottled water
• Gold Preferred and Platinum Preferred Members will receive a Starpoints bonus as a welcome gift
• Room upgrades and late check-out (subject to availability at check-in and prioritized by membership level)
