Life Goes On at Laluna

Posted on May 3, 2021

After a pause in Laluna blogs, we now dust off the keyboard and are happy to connect with our Laluna fans once again, as Life goes on at Laluna.

Needless to say it has been a rough year. However, there seems that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
The news update, is that there were very few cases on the island of Grenada. This was due to the diligence of the Ministry of Health and the Government of Grenada. Borders were closed early on, followed by an enforcement of strict entry protocols once the borders were open.

New Entry Protocols

Starting 1st May, the mandatory quarantine for fully vaccinated persons (with the last shot taken two weeks before arrival into Grenada) need only to quarantine for two days. As opposed to seven days for non-vaccinated persons.
This is indication that Grenada is ready to get back to tourism business, which sat idle for quite some time. Keep up-to-date on all Covid Protocols, by checking the Grenada Ministry of Health’s website.

Life Goes On Summer Special

Here at Laluna, we are more than ready to welcome back our friends and meet new faces. Hence our new campaign to launch our Summer Special “Life Goes On at Laluna” for indeed it does.
Laluna is proud to say that we have been open since last July. A little premature, but we were optimistic that there were still the die hard travelers, that would still come to Grenada on vacation, despite the number of quarantine days and PCR testing.

What we were doing

But opening and more importantly, staying open, allowed Laluna to assist the local community with some semblance of normality, with a place to eat, stay, play and even work. As well as continued employment to our loyal staff, of which some have been with us since our opening 20 years ago.
It also gave the local population a chance to discover Laluna for the first time. Now we have a wonderful local fan base to add to our database.

A big thank you to past guests, who checked in on us and continued to follow us on social media. With wonderful comments of encouragement and promises to be back with us in the near future.

New Guest Experiences

The past few months also gave the owners Bernardo and Wendy the opportunity to take the time to create new added guest experiences.
On your next stay at Laluna, make your way to the Enchanted Forest, which is adjacent to the yoga pavilion on the beach. Meander your way through the natural vegetation, while discovering art installations along the way. You can check out the descriptions of each artist and their work on our Art Project Page.
Your pathway will lead you to the new Art Studio, which will be hosting art classes and in the near future, an artist residency programme.grenada art at laluna

Sunsets are the magical moment at Laluna, and now you can take advantage of the Sunset Point. A pathway that leads to a promontory with a viewing bench. Only sure footed guests are encouraged to make this 2 minute walk along the cliff side. Before you head off, make sure to grab a bottle wine and two glasses from the bar. Ask for the Sunset Point Carry Bag.
