The portrait of two ladies, back to back, is a continuation of work inspired by my muse, Sherry Hamlet. Sherry is of Grenada and has Albinism. She has had many challenges through out her life, the main one of looking different than others. Inside this white sugar coated exterior is a writer, poet, artist, and creator. In spite of the fact that she is legally blind, she completed an undergraduate degree at U.W.I., and is now studying for a Master’s Degree in Creative writing in New York. The challenges she faces seem to only cause her to dig in and become greater.
