About the massages

Indonesian Massage For centuries, traditional Indonesian massage has been used to renew, strengthen and heal the body. Using a combination of stretching, rolling, kneading strokes and thumb/palm pressure techniques, two therapists work side-by-side to relieve tension, improve blood flow, and rejuvenate the body during this hour long massage.

Balinese Massage Therapy Using the same technique as the Indonesian massage, one masseuse administers this traditional treatment. Combining stretching, rolling, kneading strokes and thumb/palm pressure, this massage relieves tension, improves blood flow, and rejuvenates, strengthens, renews and heals the body.

Tatami Massage This unique experience is performed on the floor on a special tatami mat, surrounded by candles.In this hour long massage, the therapist works with her hands and feet to stretch and relax your muscles, creating an unforgettable experience.

Rejuvenate

Start the day off right and get your energy going with a morning yoga class. Held in our beautiful beachfront yoga pavilion, the day’s yoga session will get the blood flowing and awaken the soul. Following the class, take a step down onto the beach and take a moment to breathe and soak in the view with your special someone.

Relax

Following yoga, head back up to the private veranda of your suite to enjoy the morning breeze and have a light bite off our room service menu. Enjoy fresh fruit and a cappuccino before meandering hand-in-hand down the lush path taking you down to the Asian Spa.

With a variety of treatments available at the spa, there is something to suit every desire. For a special Valentine’s Day treat, we recommend a Balinese couples massage. After an hour of side-by-side massages executed by Laluna’s master Balinese masseuses, enjoy a cup of tea in the spa’s relaxation area before heading over to beach to soak up some sun in the side-by-side loungers.

One of the most romantic times in Grenada is sunset, and there is no better place to watch it than Laluna’s Sunset Bar. Ask our bartender to make you one of our specialty cocktails, and then watch the sun drop below the Caribbean Sea’s horizon from one of the lounge’s intimate sitting areas – our favorite is the Balinese daybed facing the water. Be sure to watch for the “Green Flash”, a phenomena that occurs right as the top of the sun disappears.

Once the sun is down, head into the Laluna Restaurant, known for its fantastic Italian and Caribbean cuisine. Valentine’s dinner is a special meal at Laluna. With a menu carefully planned and prepared by the resort’s Calabrian chef, the food will set the spark for an evening of amore. Laluna Celebrates 12 Year Anniversary

Laluna is celebrating our 12 year anniversary today. From the initial ground breaking to opening, it took Laluna 14 months to open our doors, and astonished those living in Grenada. Our first guests included an undercover writer for Fortune Magazine, whose humorous article gave Laluna a great introduction to the travel industry. Over the past 12 years the resort has gone on to be featured in many publications and photo shoots, including a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

The years have rolled by, and Laluna still stands as one of the premier resorts in Grenada. As time has passed, the resort has made strides in furthering guest relaxation. The addition of the Wellness Center, which includes an Asian Spa, organic garden and Yoga Pavilion on the beach, has been very much welcomed by the large number of repeat guests to the property.

The current Villa Estate project is the latest addition to the Laluna brand, with 7 luxury villas being constructed on the adjacent promontory. The first villa has been handed over to the new owner, and the second will be delivered mid-2013. The expansion will allow larger groups to vacation together by renting one of these beautiful homes.

Guest satisfaction at Laluna is a number one priority, and without the wonderful smiles and service of the local Grenadian staff at Laluna, we would fall short.
