When planning a bachelorette party for the bride-to-be, there are many things to be taken into consideration. What does she enjoy? How many people should come? Is she up for an adventure? Some people think Vegas, others more locally, and others still even more outside of the box. In our opinion, Grenada makes the best destination for celebrating all types of brides-to-be.
For the Adventurous Bride
For a small island, Grenada’s landscape allows for a surprising variety of adventurous outdoor pursuits. From the land to the sea, there are a number of activities that adventure-seekers can get in on. Laluna’s mountain bikes are perfect for touring the surrounding area, and our paddleboards, hobie cats, and snorkeling gear are all ready to be used to explore the sea and surf of the Resort’s private bay. The underwater sculpture garden, Dragons Bay, and the Bianca C are well-loved by snorkelers and scuba divers; outings can be designed depending on your party’s level of experience. Hiking in the Grand Etang rain forest, to the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, or to the top of Mount Saint Catherine can give visitors some of the best views of the island.
For the Pampered Bride
Some brides prefer to do nothing but lay back and sip on a cocktail while being pampered. The Asian spa at Laluna is the perfect place to do just that. Arrange for a day full of massages, facials, manis and pedis, and be sure to grab a mimosa or two from the bar to take with you before you head over to the spa. While waiting for your treatment, relax on the beach and soak up some sun, or take a dip in your suite’s private plunge pool. Everyone will leave feeling relaxed and well taken care of.
For the Well-Traveled Bride
Grenada is a great place to get to know. There are many must-visit island locations for brides that are travellers, not just tourists. Head to the fishing village of Gouyave for Fish Friday; get up early on Saturday to take in the fish market, spice market, and local fruit and vegetable vendors; travel to Lavera beach to see giant sea turtles lay their eggs (and, if you are especially lucky, see the hatchlings heading back to sea); or visit the Ft. Mathew “Fort Bar” after dark to enjoy some drinks and explore the previously abandoned structure.
For the Fun-seeking Bride
For the bride that wants to spend the weekend limin’ (partying) and having a good time, we recommend renting Laluna’s Seascape Villa and enjoying a private party of your own. With complete resort access, the five-bedroom villa has a private infinity pool, kitchen, barbecue, and indoor and outdoor living areas, perfect for mingling and pre-partying. As a service for villa guests, Laluna offers pre-arrival grocery services; simply give us a list of everything you may want on your stay—from bottles to mixers to poolside snacks—and we will ensure that the bar and fridge is stocked upon your arrival. A quick trip from the nightlife, the Laluna concierge can arrange transportation services for your party should you wish to go out on the town.
There are so many ways to throw a memorable bachelorette party in Grenada, and we would love to help you plan it.
