An intimate, 16-cottage resort, Laluna offers guests a luxurious Caribbean getaway. Free of the overcrowded, impersonal feelings of larger, all-inclusive resorts, Laluna caters to guest’s individual needs. While there may be perks to staying at an all-inclusive, there are many reasons that staying at a boutique resort, such as Laluna, is far better.
At Laluna, you eat when you want, and where you want. Our Italian restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day, utilizing locally grown produce, fresh caught seafood, and the finest imported Italian goods. The open-air, thatched roof restaurant features a magnificent view of the sea, and the relaxed atmosphere invites diners to stay and enjoy every bite—from appetizer to dessert. The wait staff will not rush you through your meal in order for a second seating to be set. Should a guest prefer to enjoy a meal—or even just a bottle of fine wine—from the private veranda of their cottage suite, room service is ready to make that happen. For guests preferring to have a pre-arranged meal plan, Laluna offers MAP (breakfast and dinner) options.
Since all meals aren’t paid for in advance, guests have the option to explore the cuisine of the island off-resort. Our concierge will be happy to recommend the best dining locations on the island; there’s even one a short walk down the beach from us. Or, allow us to arrange a cab into town for you to search for the best roti (a tortilla-like pastry filled with curried/spiced meat or vegetables) or the national dish of oil down.
A Personal Touch
Serving a limited number of guests at any given time, the staff at Laluna are able to provide a personal touch to our guests. Many of the Laluna staff has been with the resort for years, and they take pride in ensuring a perfect guest experience. You’ll get to know the service staff; in fact, our bartender will handcraft a signature drink just for you based on your favorite flavors, colors, and preferences. A massage in our spa is a relaxing, tranquil experience; there are no outside noises (other than chirping birds and rustling leaves) or crowds to distract from treatment. The masseuse will take her time working out every muscle—it never feels like you’re on a massage assembly line, as it can at a more crowded spa. There is no far-away, corporate entity that outsources services for Laluna. You’ll often see Bernardo, the owner of Laluna, on-property, ensuring that quality and service remain high. You will even likely meet the friendly person that you booked your room with.
At Laluna, the rooms aren’t stacked one on top of another. Even our introductory level cottage suite offers guests their own private veranda and personal plunge pool. We don’t share our beach with any other resort, giving guests a long expanse of sand to explore and relax on. There is always plenty of room to lounge by the pool, and there is no line at the bar to wait for a drink. With our secluded location, it is easy to escape the hustle-and-bustle of the outside world and just relax.
Laluna offers a number of on-resort activities, including hobie cating, standup paddleboarding, snorkeling, and more. There is no need to sign up for a time slot or reserve equipment. Let us know when you are ready, and we will gather everything for you. If you would like to pop into a morning yoga class, you can. If you feel like heading to Grand Etang to see the monkeys, we can arrange transportation. There is no waiting for other guests or a pre-arranged excursion time.
As you can see, staying at a boutique resort such as Laluna gives guests an intimate, customized vacation.
