With the end of summer drawing near, many couples choose to take one last trip before life gets busy and the opportunity escapes. Even if you only have a few vacation days remaining, a quick escape in Grenada is still within your grasp!
Many resorts require a week-long minimum stay; however, with the Laluna Chillout Special, we allow guests to book a four-night stay. If you plan your vacation around a weekend, that’s a mere 3 days that have to be taken off! While we, of course, believe that no vacation to Grenada can be long enough, we also know how to plan a short trip that will maximize your stay. For those that may doubt the amount of R&R and island appreciation that can be achieved in a few days, here is how we would spend it.
An Island Arrival
It doesn’t take long to start relaxing. Visitors to the island often say that the moment they step out of the airplane and take in the fresh ocean air, lush green foliage, and welcoming locals, they are automatically put into a vacation state of mind. The majority of flights coming into Grenada land in the early evening, and following a delicious welcome drink, many guests choose to spend their first evening on the island relaxing on their private veranda and enjoying room service.
The First Day
While there are many activities to do on-resort or around the island, there is something to be said for spending your first full day focused on rejuvenation and relaxation. Take it as a chance to connect with your spouse and set a relaxed and romantic tone for the rest of your vacation. Take your time over an a-la-carte American breakfast, being sure to keep an eye out for small birds and lizards as they become active in the warming sun. Enjoy a session in our open-air beachfront yoga pavilion; while focusing on your posture and breath, you will find yourself becoming one with your surroundings as the sound of the waves lapping the sand and the local birds chirping ensconce you. Relax on the comfortable Balinese daybeds in our lounge area, and take lunch at our on-site restaurant. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing by ocean or pool on our comfortable loungers and reading or napping.
The Second Day
Now that you’re relaxed, this is the perfect time to explore the island. For those wishing to stay on-property, Laluna offers complimentary mountain bikes, hobie cats, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks. If you’re looking to explore more of the island and the surrounding sea, excursions are easily arranged. With the multitude of activities offered by Laluna, guests need not worry about planning a thing. Simply pick a package based on your preferences – be it snorkeling, a hike to the rainforest, or deep sea fishing – and we will take care of the rest.
The Third Day
On your final full day in Grenada, we recommend capping your vacation off with a final bit of pampering. Spend time together in our Asian Spa, choosing treatments from our eclectic menu of services. An Action Sublime Facial, Balinese Couple’s Massage, and Manicure and Pedicure will leave you feeling blissful. While this is the perfect time to hit the Caribbean Sea one more time, it wouldn’t surprise us if you chose to spend the rest of the day lounging in your private cottage suite, enjoying room service and dips in your plunge pool.
The Final Day
We’ll be sad to see you go, but until next time, we’re happy to arrange transportation to the airport and send you off with a warm “Ciao!”.
